Angelic Layer/ Chobits

So, I watched seven episodes of Angelic Layer. I can't do it anymore. The concept is great: Tamagotchi meets Pokemon, but the plot arc is foot draggingly slow and predictable. I know it's supposed to be a teeny-bopper kind of anime, but I could even stomach Pretear over this.

I started watching Angelic Layer because Wiki suggested it before I started watching Chobits. However, since Chobits has gotten overall worse reviews than Angelic Layer, I think I just give up.
